After almost three months of blogging, and reading other great blogs, I finally realized the mistakes I've made (and those I'm still making). Due to my desire to become a good -- or even great -- blogger and writer, I want to make improvements for myself. And as a first step to greater improvement, I have to identify and learn from my mistakes. Putting it in a list is one way to truly identify and manage my erroneous ways.

0 No Weekend Adventure today

This week, I didn't get to go to St. James Power Station due to some unforeseen circumstances. We just went to the New Bugis Street to shop with my cousin who's going home later this week.  I don't have the photographs during that trip so I can't show you here the huge crowd shopping during that time.

I'll be doing another weekend adventure next week, so watch out! See you later.

0 Bugis Street: the next Weekend Adventure

This weekend, we're planning to go to New Bugis Street. It's a widely known shopping street in Singapore. We're going with my cousin who will buy some pasalubongs before going back to the Philippines. He will go back by next week, so this is the perfect time to shop some gifts that are budget-friendly. Details to follow on later.

0 My Account was Hacked!

As you may have noticed, (almost the same on what I mentioned yesterday) my blog has been posting unusual short articles that are not related to our area of focus. I suspect somebody has hacked my blogger account, posted these crap without me knowing. Last few days, I was away, searching myself again, and this no-good hacker got wind of it and took the opportunity to vandalize my site. But it's good he never thought of deleting posts or disabling the whole account itself.

As you can see, I'm in no position to post a great article right now. I'm in sandwich hell... torn between work, rest, play and freelance. If you have noticed my other blog, juanliner™, is also suffering from lack of new materials. Just give me some time to regroup, breathe easier and continue on my what I like most, writing. I'll be collecting more helpful information about Singapore to share with you all. Just give me some time...okay?

Doesn't it annoy you when you asked somebody and his or her answer is also a question? Doesn't it make you blink faster even just for a bit? Why the hell heck would you answer a question with another question? What is the point of asking if you're going to answer it with a question? Do you think it will go somewhere? How can you know the answer to your question if the answer is also a question?

0 Off to our first Weekend Adventure!

Today's the day we're going to Universal Studios Singapore.My first time, but I think not my last. My sis tells me that I'd enjoy the Shrek show and The Mummy Returns ride. I don't know. Let's see. I'm not much a fan of rides and thrills, but I think this time it will be ought to be good. It's Universal Studios, nonetheless.

Today's also my first ever Weekend Adventure. I will be going around Singapore more, traveling around, looking for unique places, and good food, on Saturdays. This will be a regular activity of mine, for a number of reasons.

Watch out for the ensuing adventures, which I will be posting here on Sundays.

2 In dire need of people

Last Tuesday around lunchtime, I saw this odd-looking double-decker bus. It looks like a wedding bus, with the fabrics typical on wedding cars. But the design and stickers on the outside says a little different. It shows three sets of feet, one set smaller than the two indicating a child's feet. Then I noticed some words displayed above the feet, shown like balloon conversation: "Can we afford?" and something like "Is it the right time?".

2 Philippine Embassy in Singapore Work Week Schedule

Planning to visit the Philippine Embassy to get an OEC this February or March? Or do you want to renew your passport or OWWA membership? Please be advised that there will be a modified work week schedule in the Embassy starting February 11, 2011. They will be open only on Mondays through Fridays, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM. For visa applications, it will be accepted only on Mondays through Thursdays. The Embassy will be closed on Saturday and Sunday due to the ongoing improvement of its public waiting area. This schedule will take effect until March 31, 2011. Normal operating schedule (Sunday-Thursday) will resume on April 1, 2011.

Another misfortune. I didn't win last night's draw. When I arrived at home, there was no double episode of How I Met Your Mother. There was only Grammy awards, which I didn't watch. Earlier, I went to Swensen's to buy something for my sis as a Valentine's Day gift and as usual the queue is very long. It took me 25 minutes to wait before they gave me may take-away order.

0 Starting a Weekend Adventure

Unfortunately, I didn't win a pair of tickets for the movie premier of I Am Number Four. Nuffnang hosted a contest and have given out 80 pair of movie tickets. I was not one of them. Too bad we will not having a movie later in the evening. Now I'm just hoping that my unlucky charm works the other way around on Toto. I'll just go home after work and wait for the draw while ironing my clothes and watching How I Met Your Mother.

2 Valentine's Eve

Just finished my very first movie! I'm going to surprise my wife with this one. I told her that I'm going to sleep early, but the truth is I'm trying to finish my surprise for her. It was so hard to do because it's my first time. I still don't know what functions and features that I can use to make it beautiful.

I never thought it would be this hard to make a movie. I'm just making one out of pictures and background music. I thought it's just dragging pictures to the movie maker and adding some music.

Two months have passed since I started blogging... and I'm still here! Yay! Congratulations to me! I've surpassed what they call the first two hardest months on blogging. Everything will be much easier now.

These past few weeks had been a disaster. I was not able to deliver my articles. My client is emailing me and I still don't have the complete set. It makes me feel anxious and weird because the more I want to write and finish the project, the more the ideas and sentences tend to jump farther away from me. I can't believe this will take me a lot of time to finish just because I can't concentrate or focus on this project due to my day job. I thought I can finish this by writing in the evening or early morning, but I wasn't able to do that kind of things. I'm afraid I will not get another chance from the client. And I'm afraid I will not be a regular in my day job. In my quest to hit two birds in one shot, I missed both of them. This is very depressing. And stressful.

I'm way out of focus.
