2 Singapore Daytrip: what can you do in one day

Planning to visit Singapore for several days? Do you want to see the Merlion, ride inside the Singapore Flyer, shop in Orchard Road or feed the giraffes or kangaroos in the Singapore zoo but don't have enough time? You don't want to be a part of the normal tour and want to explore Singapore on your own time? If yes is the answer in any of the questions here, then take my hand and let's jump into the world of daytrips. (This is just a metaphor. Please continue reading after the jump and ignore my emo-ness.)

5 Universal Studios Singapore: the Weekend Adventure part 2

The following events happened earlier on our trip to Universal Studios Singapore(I will put it as USS, so I don't have to type the full name again and again. :-P) last February 19, 2011. If you have a weak heart, or a premeditated disliking to great rides or huge castles or crowds, please look away now.

0 Sentosa Boardwalk now open!

During our Universal Studios Singapore weekend adventure, we noticed on our way to Sentosa a new walkway -- called Sentosa Boardwalk -- built between the main island and the fun island. We rode the Sentosa Express going to the Sentosa island and thought that maybe we should have tried the walkway. But it was too late and we never knew that there's already a way to go to Sentosa via foot. So the next day, when my sister and I have to see our cousin who has been touring in Singapore and currently in Sentosa, we went there via Sentosa Boardwalk.

0 Singapore Flyer: The biggest observation wheel in the world

If you're going for a holiday or vacation in Singapore, then you should not miss going to the Singapore Flyer. It's a very big observation wheel located in the Marina Bay area. Actually, the biggest observation deck in the world. In the whole world! So after going there you can brag it to your friends and tell them that you've been inside the biggest observation wheel in the world.

43 The Jewel Box Singapore

from Jewel Box website
Visiting Sentosa Island when going to Singapore is a no-brainer. In Sentosa you'll find Resorts World Singapore, Universal Studios Singapore, Merlion Walk, Siloso Beach, the Songs of the Sea show and many others. Every day there are thousands of people visiting this wonderful island which is just a train ride away. But there is another way to go here: riding the cable car.

7 Celebrating New Year in Marina Bay Singapore

It's almost 2011! Just a few hours to go before New Year. My wife and I decided to celebrate our first New Year in Marina Bay. There will be fireworks display after the countdown in the area. We agreed to go there since MRT and bus services will be extended. MRT will be running until 2am and the night bus at around 5am. This will be a big help so that we will have a more convenient option to go home rather than competing for a taxi with other several thousands of people.

0 Near the Oldest Cathedral in Singapore

During Sundays, my sister and I go to church. We are Roman Catholics so that's normal. Sometimes we attend the anticipated mass on Saturdays, but normally we do this on Sundays.

One Sunday, we went to the Cathedral of the Good Sheperd. It is located near Bras Basah MRT station, bounded by Queen and Victoria Streets. It is the oldest Roman Catholic church in Singapore.

0 Mural in Suntec City Mall...

This illustration on a wall somewhere in Singapore(can't remember if this is in Suntec City Mall or near that establishment) shows us the typical life here during 19-somethings. I have no idea what this is because we just passed by this path and snapped a picture of it.

Please tell me what this is. Thanks!
