At the Highest Point in Singapore

Ever dreamed of being at the highest point in the whole world? I did. I also secretly dream to take a leak at the highest point in world, which is so cool not only because your at the highest place but also very,very.....cold. For now, I'll take Singapore anytime of the day.


Welcome to 1-Altitude, the highest bar in Singapore. It's an open air bar so high that it overlooks Marina Bay Sands and the rest of the high-rises in downtown district. The One Raffles Place building, where Altitude is located at the rooftop, stands at a staggering 282meters(925feet). Compared to Marina Bay Sands which stands at  194meters(636feet). It's so high the signal of the phone networks of Singapore cannot be found, and yet phone network from Indonesia is found!

The place is awesome! Surrounding the bar is a walkway where you can view 360 degrees of Singapore. The spectacular view of the whole Singapore at night. In the middle is the DJ mixing and playing the current dance hits. The waiters are friendly and approachable. Haven't tried the drinks other than Heineken beer and Stellar Artoir,but the place is worth the entrance fee.

You may want to should visit this bar. Because it's cool. The ambiance is great. Great view of whole Singapore. The place is relaxing. If you don't have a fear for heights. Just find the One Raffles Place building near D'almeida and Malacca streets. You can also try using MRT and alight at Raffles Place station. Entrance is just $15. Trust me, it's worth it.
