I took these photos during my week-long vacation in Manila. We were walking around Serendra in The Fort when I noticed those bonsais. I don't know what plants they were, but I really like bonsais.

I want to live my own life

How can you live your own life if someone wants to live your life the way they want? How's that supposed to be called living your life. I'm not a child anymore. Call me a black sheep, or anything you want. But it will never make a difference. I want to live my own life.

Brewerks at Clarke Quay

The golden ale at Brewerks tastes good! The food is great! The beer is great! There will definitely be a second and third time.. and maybe fourth. And fifth. And sixth. And so on... ^_^

Go out and shoot!

I've been thinking for so long. Where should I go and shoot photos?! I asked Google but didn't gave me good answers. I need to get myself up, clean up, and just go out. I need to find that energy to go out. Really.

It's Friday Again!

Well.. it's the day of the week again. The start of the weekend(for myself). Where we can do whatever we want, because we don't need to wake up early the next day. You can either party, drink, play, or do what it is that you like. Or you can just sleep. From Friday evening until Monday. If you can. ^_^

The good news is... it's the weekend again!

A Warning: When booking budget flights

Do you use budget flights when flying out of the country? Are you waiting for seat sales and promotions? If the answer to both questions is a big yes, then you must have experienced what I experience every time I try to book flights: getting slapped in the face by additional charges on your final payment.

Mercato Centrale in Bonifacio Global City

During my week-long vacation back home, I had a chance to go to the Mercato Centrale in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. My wife's house also happen to be very near to that place so we just walked there last Sunday morning.

Welcome back....nahh

I just got back here last night. I spent a week with my baby and wife. It was.... short. I wish I could avail longer time to spend more time with them. I wish I could go back even during weekends. I wish. I wish my wishes would all come true.

Going back

I don't want to talk about it. I know I'll be teary-eyed. I'm going back to Singapore and I'm leaving my family here in the Philippines. It's hard. T_T

Time is always on fast forward

It's Saturday again. Can't believe it's already Saturday. I don't want to think that tomorrow I'll be leaving for Singapore again. I sure wish that I can stop or just slow time so I can spend more time with my new family. I know it will be hard to leave, but I guess I have no choice because we need to work for our family. I guess this is the reason why we sacrifice the time away.. to make our family's future secure.

Happiness

Our baby's first words! Nah, just kidding. I don't know when the baby should give his/her first words, even if it's just mumbles and baby words. I don't know what I'm doing today, really. I just know that I'll be spending my every minute with my baby and wife. And I know that we're happy right now. Really happy. ^____^

Release

Hopefully today, my wife and baby will be discharged from the hospital and we're going back home. I'm sure I don't know what to do when we arrive home.. because this is my first time. And hopefully I learn fast, so I can be a good father to our baby.

I can't think of any topic for today, so I'll just post this photo.

It's the Merlion Hotel, or so it's called. I don't know why they did this. I just don't get it. They boxed the big Merlion and put some bed and sofa. That's it. I still don't get it.

Hospital days

I'm thinking that during this time we're already at the hospital, because my wife is already laboring. I sit anxiously in the corner, waiting for the doctors and nurses to emerge from that door and to tell me if the baby is a boy or girl. Fortunately, we already prepared two beautiful names each so that we don't need to name the baby on the spot or think hard for a good one. If she's a girl, then it Margaret Haley. And if he's a boy(hopefully gazillion times!), we'll name him Elijah Gabriel. I do really hope that the result is a he. ^_^

Coming back

For this one, if it had been a possibility to come to my hometown, then early today I had been travelling back to Manila. I'd spent a day back in Batangas, where I find tranquility. Going back to Manila will be tiring, as usual, due to several transportation transfers. Starting from our house, I will ride a tricycle, then a jeepney, transfer to another jeepnen, then transfer to a bus, then another bus and lastly a tricycle again before arriving to my wife's house. That many. But this time it will be different, because we're already 3... or not yet. I'm not sure.

Roots

If you're someone who's been away from your home where you grew up, then you'll feel the same way just like what I'm feeling right now. You'll feel excited and happy that you'll be coming home. I was planning to go back to my hometown today, but as of this writing (this was composed on 11 May 3:18pm), I don't know what will happen. I don't know when the baby will come out. So I'll just hope that I can still go back to my roots and catch up with the big family. I really hope I can go back even for just one day.

Friday the 13th

It's not that I believe on the unluckiest day of the year, but what I believe in is that your luck depends purely on what you do. Some people call it karma. If today is the worst day of my life, then maybe I did something (or many) wrong things. But if today, my wife gives birth to our child, then Friday the 13th is the best day of the year!

Going home

Tonight, I'm flying back home. ^_^

One more day

And I'm off! Tomorrow, I'll be coming home to hopefully witness the birth of my baby. No, not witness. More like.. be there when the baby comes out. I was going to surprise her but I don't want her to be too surprised that the baby pops out once she sees me. I hope the flight's smooth and no delays so I'm not that stressed out when I arrive. ^_^

Victorious

As you may already heard, Manny Pacquiao rose as the clear winner of the last fight between him and Shane Mosley. From the start until the 12th round, Pacman was the aggressive fighter. And the fear in Sugar's eyes were very clear when he was knocked down on the 3rd round. He was like: What just happened? His confusion can be seen in the face. And then he never fought until the end. Mosley just went running around, defending and not throwing any punches. But the big question is... who's next?

Gayweather is out of the list. He's just all talk. What he saw in Manny's last fight cemented the thought in him and proved that he can never beat the fighting congressman. Let's just wait for Marquez in November.

Never again

Warning: Do not, I repeat, do not eat at KFC Hougang Festival Mall branch. Don't ask me why, just don't go there. If you want to experience what we experienced this evening - very poor service, especially the person who brings the food to your table - then go there. Just remember that you read this warning.

For today's photograph, I'll be showing you an unusual phenomenon being observed near the beach of Singapore's Sentosa Island. It's called the "tilting of the sea", where ships and boats are required to maneuver carefully to adjust and position themselves to prevent being dropped into the deep space.

I shouldn't asked for the sambal

For dinner tonight, I tried the Hokkien Mee in Kopitiam at the Festival Mall. I made it a take-away so I can eat it at home. The lady asked me if I want some sambal chili so I signaled "just a bit" using my hand. Unfortunately, she didn't understood what I did and put a spoonful of chili on the noodles.

Marina Bay: Singapore Flyer

I made a post about the Singapore Flyer last time. But I don't have a decent camera to take a good photo. So last time we went to Marina Bay, I tried capturing the night view of Singapore Flyer in Marina Bay.

Butter-beered Prawns

Tonight, I made something extra special. I cooked prawns in butter-beer sauce. If you have tasted it, then you would forget your name and where you are for several seconds. It's that delicious! :-p

Holidays

Today is May 1, and a holiday. But it fell on a Sunday, so tomorrow will be a holiday and no work for the employees. I'm planning to take some photos, but still not sure where to do that. I'm thinking to go to Punggol Park tomorrow early morning. I just can't confirm if I can wake up early to prepare. Let's see.
